Why Is Believer’s Baptism So Important?

It Tells the Story of Christ
“Christ died for our sins… He was buried… and He rose again.”I
Corinthians 15:3-4

Baptism symbolizes our spiritual union with Christ in His death to sin and His resurrection to everlasting life. The Bible says that the ritual itself does not save a person, but that baptism spiritually strengthens the one being baptized and the congregation that witnesses the baptism. In other words, baptism is an outward sign that symbolizes what has already taken place inwardly (spiritually). It symbolizes the believer’s union with Christ and thus his/her initiation into the new community known as the church.

What Should I Expect When I Am Baptized?

This is such an exciting time for you as you declare publicly your relationship with Christ. Invite as many friends and family as you can to share this special moment with you. They will be given a preferential view as you are baptized. When you are baptized, Pastor Ryan will introduce you as you enter the water and share about how you began a personal relationship with Christ. (more…)

You were designed to be a part of a church family. And that’s exactly what Fellowship of Stonebridge is intended to be – your family. That’s why at FOS we want to share with you what we believe and where we’re going.

FOS 101 is the basic introduction to our church family designed to clearly explain who and what our church is. 101 is broken into four sessions covering: Our Salvation, Our Statements, Our Strategy and Our Structure. This is a great opportunity to learn about FOS and get to know others. (more…)
