What to Expect
New to Fellowship of Stonebridge?
Welcome. We hope you’ll join us for a Sunday service to see for yourself what we’re about. Through drama, multi-media presentations, upbeat music and practical messages, we strive to creatively communicate the truths of the Bible in a format that’s easy to understand, even if you’ve never been to church.
For your first visit:
Get Directions.
Dress casual. Most people wear casual weekend attire. Jeans are fine as are shorts in warmer weather. But dress how you feel comfortable.
Get a nametag. When you arrive, you will be warmly greeted. A friendly greeter will give you a nametag and answer any questions you may have. Everyone at FOS will be wearing a name tag to make it easier to meet others. Grab a program so that you can find out more about events at FOS. Inside the program will be a Connection Card, message notes so you can follow along with the teaching, and a calendar of events.
Drop off your kids. When you enter the lobby, you will be warmly greeted and escorted to the appropriate children’s areas where your kids will enjoy puppet shows, Bible stories, games, and other fun activities during the worship service. For the safety of your child, you will receive a security number which will also be on your child’s name tag (and diaper bag).
Grab some coffee and a snack. Feel free to stop by the refreshment table before the service begins and grab some coffee, juice, or a snack. You can take it to your seat to enjoy during the service.
Complete the connection card during the service. Inside your program will be a connection card. This is our way to communicate with you. We will never single you out during the service. This card helps us get to know you better. You can complete as much information as you feel comfortable and turn it in when the offering plates are passed at the end of the service. If you are a first time guest, Pastor Ryan will send a letter the following week to welcome you to FOS and to invite you back again.
Enjoy the service. Participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable doing. We’ll let you know if we are about to stand or sit down, so just hang back and check us out. And, by the way, its okay to laugh at the jokes or videos. And when you hear our band, you can’t help but to clap along.
Check out the Resource Table after the service. At the resource area you’ll find printed information about our church, previous sermons on CD, free Bibles, and recommended resources. As a first time guest, you may receive a free CD set at the resource table. Plus, a friendly FOS member will be happy to let you ‘just look around’ or answer any questions you might have.
Stick around and visit. After the service is over, feel free to stick around and ask any questions about FOS, meet Pastor Ryan and other friendly members, and grab a snack and coffee at the refreshment table.
